An interview with the author of
Baseball in Heaven ©
©by R.S.S. Andersen
1998
I asked Russ Anderson who he was and this was his
answer to me.
I am simply a typed name at the end of a verse.
As long as the verse is read and as long as
my name is
read along with it I am immortal, emotionally
living
and breathing through the lips of those reading.
What inspired you to write this poem?
In regards to my poem "Baseball In Heaven"
it is from
a collectional of inspirational poetry I authored
a
few years back. Prior to a two year period
where I was
writing for a national published motorcycle
magazine I
wrote poetry dealing with personal loss and
issues of abuse.
My inspirtaion was life itself.
The faces of people you see day to day,
the pains we all know in our hearts
and that make us feel we are alone. . .
I just simply felt a need to let others know
that they were not alone.
Just as you do with your beautiful website.
Your website is beautiful and you should be proud
of your efforts.
You should also be proud of your strength and
dedication
to Queenie and other dogs like her.
Thank you for your help Judy.
It is deeply appreciated . . .
