Ruby was recently diagnosed with diabetes, and has now gone lame.
She's on a pretty strong anti-inflammatory. We are still carrying
her around,
and hopefully she'll start responding well to the new meds.

Your dog can live very happily once you get her regulated.
And if you go the route of home cooking rather than store bought
food,
she'll feel ever so special.
My Ruby was diagnosed in May of 2003, has just recently become regulated,
and is doing sooo much better. I feed her chicken burgers
with italian
dressing, some brown rice and broccoli.

Update

This is what Susan feeds Ruby.
I give her the following meal twice a day.
1/2 lb of chicken ground meat (not white meat only) - preferably
bbq;
1/2 cup of brown rice
1/2-2/3 cup of broccoli
About 2T Italian dressing
She loves it. I based the volumes
on the number of calories she should be eating per day.
I love you, Mom!
