My Sierra has her angel wings

Sweet Sierra!
Rainbow
Bridge
December 26, 2004
| Early this morning Sierra crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. After she
put up a valiant fight with cancer, it was clear that she wanted to move
on. We decided to help her start her new journey and end the pain she had
started to experience.
Sierra blessed us for over 4 years with her spunky “full-of-it” attitude,
and love. That love was unconditional, well most of the time except when
it was time for treats. You could almost set your watch by her letting
you know that it was indeed “Treat Time”. Believe us, your watch had better
be telling you the right time, because she would certainly tell you if
you were late.
On the hiking trails, our daughter revealed another trait. No matter
how long or difficult the hike, she never quit. This earned her one of
many of her nicknames . . . Our Little Trooper. Sierra also took to heart
the adage to stop and smell the roses as she made sure to stop and sniff
everything. In addition to climbing every “mountain”, Sierra loved to cross
every stream and venture as far out into lakes as Mom would allow her.
Sierra has joined Shasta and Sherry over the Rainbow Bridge. Although
her leaving makes us sad, we know that she is in a better place and that
we will see her once again. On her behalf, we want to thank everyone for
their thoughts and prayers.

God Bless Our Pets
They say memories are golden,
well, maybe that is true.
I never wanted memories, I only wanted you.
A million times I needed you,
a million times I cried.
If love alone could have saved you,
you never would have died.
In life I loved you dearly,
in death I love you still.
In my heart you hold a place
no one could ever fill.
If tears could build a stairway
and heartache make a lane,
I'd walk the path to heaven
and bring you back again.
Our family chain is broken,
and nothing seems the same.
But as God calls us one by one,
the chain will link again.
