Kricket
Miss Kricket passed away July 24th, 2006...The day after my 55th birthday...
She is missed daily by her family and especially Miss Lacey who worshiped
the ground Miss Kricket walked on...
Miss Kricket was my baby girl for 12 years...We have a special box
that has cute
doggie pictures and 2 pink bows that have all of the things Miss Kricket
cherished in
life...except for all of our memories of her and they are tucked away
in our hearts....
We miss you so much *baby girl*

Herman
Mr. Herman was my husbands cat for many years...He was 16 years old
when he
passed away Feb. 3, 2005...just 2 weeks before my husbands birthday...
The vets
found out that Mr. Herman had a cancer mass in his stomach...
and instead of him
suffering so much we helped him cross over to Rainbow Bridge...
He is missed daily by his family...especially Miss Tabitha and Miss
Lacey.....
His loving spirit still lingers in our house...it is because of Mr.
Herman
that we now have Meowzer...our diabetic Cat...
We miss you Mr. Herman...

As I am still not recovered from the loss of Shep,
it is hard to sit down and write a memorial for him.
Shep is greatly missed everyday. When I walk about doing my chores,
I find
myself turning around and looking to see if my Shep is following me.
(It was our
daily routine together) I find a huge empty space with out him. He
was an inspiration
to anyone who knew him. Never did he complain, not a day in his life.
He took
what came and muddled through it like a courageous soldier might. He
will always
be my trooper. The one who was happy to just be near me, follow me
and look at
me with those big, brown, loving eyes. When I meet tough roads ahead,
I will always
think of Shep and how he might have handled himself. I will hold my
head high and
muddle through, as I have learned from watching my friend. Shep you
may be gone
physically from our lives, you will forever remain in our hearts. I
can only hope that
you continue to follow me throughout my life as my new guardian angel.

Jordi was my soulmate, and a great friend to all who knew him.
Jordi went to the Bridge on December 8, 2006.
He was 12 1/2, and he managed 4 years of diabetes,
cushings, hypothyroidism, cataract removal and many other
challenges, with all the zest of the trooper he truly was.
I miss him with all my heart, every day.
As I say to him every night before I go to sleep,
Mommy loves Jordi.

Pearlie showed up in the neighborhood in July of 2003.
She was sweet and wanted to be loved. My neighbor saw me walking
with Joker
and didn't know what to do with her (a non-dog person), so I went back
home,
got a collar, a leash, and we continued on our walk. I wanted
to find her owner.
Well, I had found her owner, but it took me a few weeks to find out!
She was
only about 2 years old, and I walked the streets with her, and Joker,
trying to
find her home. But, it was in my own backyard. Didn't need
to look any further,
than that. Because, she had never lost her home to begin with!
I posted ads, etc., but it became evident that she was dumped.
No longer needed for breeding. A beautiful American Eskimo.
Go figure. But, she was needed, to make my life complete.
I had the pleasure of being Pearlie's mom for almost 2 years.
A year into having her,
I discovered a lump on her teats. We had it removed in the spring
of 2004, but it
was too late. Only a tiny lump, at that, but it had metastasized,
mammary cancer.
In September of 2004, the vet gave her 3 months, she was coughing and
not eating.
She lasted until the Saturday after Thanksgiving. She had the
opportunity to be
with her "real" family, one last time. She ate turkey and ran
around at my parents. The night before she passed on, she played
with her friends, barked at fireworks,
and got to eat hamburger from her favorite place. The next morning,
she awoke with
seizures, jumped up on the bed, and started having them in my face.
I knew then.
I only had her, less than 2 years, but she was my girl. I actually,
only signed my
name, Pearlie, in memory of her, when I first started posting here.
A beautiful
dog, one who didn't have the opportunity to begin with, to show how
special
she was. But, she had almost 2 full years to prove it to me and
my family.
We were blessed to have this special girl in our lives, even for such
a short time.
She taught me so much... perseverance, strength, fortitude, compassion,
patience,
joy, and most of all love. Despite circumstances beyond ones
control, there is hope.
Pearlie, I know you are with me, each and every day.
Mommy Tina, and brother Joker-he loved you most of all other dogs

Axl 3/14/1992 to 7/18/2007
Axl was my first Brittany and the only dog I have had a litter of puppies
with.
She was always a great companion and friend. She was stubborn
and willful.
As a puppy she was very determined to get her way. She would
play with a
tennis ball for 14 hours a day if she could until she was about 10
or 11 years old.
If you were on the phone, you had to throw the ball for her as she
knew you had
free hands. I will never forget her. She is the second
dog I lost in 2 months.
Very difficult. I helped her to the bridge too and like everything
else Axl did,
she didn't do that very easy either. I miss you, I will always
love you.
Loved always and forever by Christy & John.

Cheyenne 9/3/1995 to 5/16/2007
Cheyenne was a great dog and companion. Daughter of Axl, sister
to Rebel.
She survived over 4 years diabetes, catatact surgery, eye removal,
hypothyroid
for bladder cancer to claim her. She let me do all the testing,
poking, prodding
I needed to do with just love. Looking up at me with such devotion.
She was
part of the only litter I had and she chose to stay with us.
Always took care of
the smaller puppies. She even tried to train Lucian, the two
months we had
him before she passed. She was my first dog that I had to help
to the rainbow and
it went so peacefully. I miss you and will always love you.
I miss cuddling with you.

My Dearest Buddy just went to the Bridge on October 12th., 2007.
For the last five years, it has just been Buddy and I
And indeed he was my buddy
Despite his diabetes and cataracts, he could still play tuggy with
his toys and
always manage to find my slipper and just hold it in his mouth and
stand
in front of me, so proud that he knew he was doing something wrong.
The quiet without him is deafening.
Rest In Peace my Dearest Buddy until we are all re-united

Vegas was so special to us.
We have so many wonderful memories with him. I can't even begin to
write them
down, Everyday was a new adventure. He thought being diabetic was somthing
special for him. Special food , special treats, blood test and shots.
He never fliched ,
always came and layed down when we said : Time to do the blood Vegie.
Soon as
we were done he knew to run to the treat cupboard. His pool outside
was the one
thing he loved the most, He was glad when mom and dad put it in for
him. The
smiley face when we would go in with him and play tenny ball with him
and Reno.
He also loved to smell flowers. He would come in from his morning rounds
with
yellow pollen all over that beautiful black face. He loved mexican
evening
primrose. We are making this his memorial garden. He loved everyone
and
everyone loved him back. If only humans had the love and compassion
that he
did. We feel fortunate to have been able to share our lives with him.
He was so
thoughtful and kept a watchful eye on everyone, We still can't believe
he is gone.
He is missed every second of every day. We know we will be together
again.

Jack Doolan (Aust. Ch) Curaduk Colonial Boy was the from
first litter of
Australian Terriers that I ever bred. He was born in December
1981 and left us
in November 1997 not long before his sixteenth birthday. He was
a wonderful dog.
When my daughter Linda used to ring us on the phone I would hold the
phone up
to Jack's ear and he would growl away into the mouth piece at her.
He was such a character.
We had a funeral in the back yard and all sang "The Wild Colonial Boy"
with tears streaming down our faces. I still miss him - he was
like a baby to me.
My very first little Aussie baby.

Don’t give me hope
Let me feel
The bitter sweet pain,
Let me cherish
This aching heart,
This crumpled flower
Which once bloomed
In joy.
Let me weep,
Let me feel,
And the tears
Will wash away
The hurt,
The anguish,
The sorrow

Curaduk Saucy Sara, Such a sweet wonderful dog. She was
my friend and
my inspiration. When she was younger she used to "work" in a
hospital for t
he elderly providing companionship and she was much loved by the residents.
She had an eye removed due to glaucoma and for some reason the other
eye
became sympathetically blind. She overcame many obstacles and
fears (for
the blindness was very sudden and this is always harder to cope with
for a dog).
The tears fall
Not just from my eyes
They fall within.
Every tear is acid
burning a heart
Heavy with sorrow.
So heavy
I know not
If I can bear the load
Each breath a sob
A cry of pain.
Oh my love
I miss you...
Friend,
Soul Mate,
But you are gone.
There are others...
People say.
But not like you.
Each is different
Each holds a separate place
In my heart.
I love them all
In individual ways
But none can fill the void
That you have left.
Only time will help
To heal the rift
So that when I think of you
The happy memories
Will come
To lift my soul
To lighten my heart
Until at last
I think not of the sadness
You have left behind.
But only of the love we shared

My boy left in March of 2006, and is still missed terribly.
He was my shadow and soul mate, and can never be replaced.
His love will be remembered always.
His way of butting you to get you to pat him is still felt from time
to time.
