In loving

Your Memory is our keepsake
With which we will never part
God has you in his keeping
We have you in our

Crosby loved his bone pillow, it now stays in Dad’s chair.
The sprinkler was Crosby’s favorite water sport.
Crosby would always cover his eyes when he slept.
Mine!...no! MINE!...no! Mmiiinnneee!
Crosby won!
They will not go quietly, the dogs who’ve shared
our lives.
In subtle ways they let us know their spirit
still survives.
Old habits still make us think we hear a barking
at the door.
Or step back when we drop a tasty morsel on the
floor.
Our feet still go around the place the food dish
used to be,
And, sometimes, coming home at night, we miss
them terribly.
Although time may bring new friends and a new
food dish to fill,
That one place in our hearts belongs to them…and
always will.

If only we could hear the patter of your feet once
more softly walking across the floor.
(Many thanks go to Connie for this wonderful picture)
God looked around his garden
And found an empty place
He then looked down upon the earth
And saw your tired face
He put his arms around you
And lifted you to rest
God's garden must be beautiful
He always takes the best
He knew that you were suffering
He knew you were in pain
He knew that you would never get well
on this earth again
He saw the road was getting rough
And the hills were hard to climb
So he closed your weary eyelids and whispered
"Peace be thine"
It broke our hearts to lose you
But you did not go alone
For part of us went with you
The day God called you home
