I'm Michele, and Meowzer and I are desperate for your help! 
He is a 14 year old diabetickitty with a wonderful personality.
He was a stray, like all of his kitty room mates have been.
I have been foster mom/rescuer of around 20 or so kitties through the years. 
Now I am hoping for some good karma to come back my way.
I am going through a divorce andhave to move in with my parents.
Mom is seriously allergic. I have found homes for 2 of my 3 cats,
but nobody wants Meowzer because of his disease and I am feeling 
hopeless!! I have asked everybody I know, everybody they know, checked 
with every no kill shelter in Missouri and Illinois.
I can't find him a home and we are down to the wire. 
We have to be out of the houseby the end of this week.
I can't take him to the humane society, 
I'm sure they will put him to sleep right away. 
He is such a sweet kitty. He lets me prick his ear to check his blood 
sugar once a week and when he needs insulin shots, he takes those well too. 
He goes on many "honeymoons" when he doesn't even need insulin. 
Can anyone help???

I don't know the exact time yet...but I did give her my cell phone # so she can call me....

He is finally getting his yearly shots this morning and 
hopefully she will e-mail me later today with the final plans for her trip over here..  :)

Got here about 2pm today...  He is such a big Cat...  He is *really* Big!!!! 
He is having a time getting adjusted...  He found a hiding place within 5 min. of coming 
here...and he really hasn't strayed from that spot.  We got some good pictures of him....
but for some reason my computer won't upload them on my computer today...  :( 
So my daughter came over with her camera and she took some pictures too... 
She is suppose to e-mail them to me later...  I'll post some to the yahoo group as soon 
as I get them...  He is sooo pretty...and did I mention that he was HUGE??  I thought
Tabitha was a big cat...but she looks like a Kitten compared to him...

I was able to coax him out of his hiding spot to eat tonight...He didn't eat much
...maybe about 1/4 of what was in his dish...  Then I held him and Glenn have
him his shot...  I didn't even try to check his bg's tonight...He growls alot..
and I really didn't want to get bit just yet...if ya know what I mean...  LOL...

Hopefully my daughter will hurry up and send me those pictures so I can post them
....soon would be nice...

 Pictures of Meowzer in his new home!

My daughter took these pictures of Meowzer...  He was in his hiding place...so that is
why they might look a little bit different...  His favorite spot right now is on a shelf under
my bed side table...  He is perched on a Rubbermaid container... So my daughter
had to lay on my bed...point her camera in Meowzers direction and click 
the picture without even knowing whether or not she got him in the picture... 
I think they all came out real good... 
 
Update on Meowzer
Thu, 7 Apr 2005 
He is doing real good!!  I did a 24 hour curve on him last Sunday ...Meowzer was 
getting 3 units bid...but since his curve showed that at night time he goes pretty low
at about 2am and really doesn't get very high after that we changed his night time
dose to 2 units...and :)  tonight I am doing a 12 hour curve on him again!!  
So I will probably be up all night...I picked tonight to do it since the 
Pope's funeral is suppose to be on T.V. that might help keep me awake....  :) 

Meowzer is getting along better with the other furbabies..  Lacey really wants
to play with him..but he isn't "quite" there yet in playing with her...but he no 
longer hisses and growls at them...  LOL  that's progress!!  

His favorite spot now since he can't get in the bedroom anymore..is Glenn's chair...
LOL as soon as Glenn gets up from it...up jumps Meowzer!!  It is real cute to watch.
 Glenn has become so attached to Meowzer!!  I am so glad he is!!!  :D
