..What
could be sweeter then a canine with diabetes!
Buddy
| Buddy came into our lives as a six month old pup He was adopted
from a private shelter initially by the grandchildren of a 78yr old
lady that thought Granny should have a pet. They didn't take into
account that he came into this world at a fast run and wasn't about to
slow up for any 78yr old granny. As a result she couldn't take care
of him and he came to live with us. He is still a high energy dog (even
with diabetes). He loves people and has to personally greet everyone
that rings our doorbell. He was diagnosed February of 2003
and at that time was a very sick dog. He has his ups and downs, and we
are still trying to get him regulated. He has lost the sight in one eye
due to cataract and we are hoping to be able to save the other eye so he
will have at least some vision. We will continue to do everything of benefit
for him and hope that we have him for as long as possible. |
